Lt Cdr Oli Bowen RNR

ASA Rear Commodore Cruising Division and Berthing Secretary

Berthing at the AOSC

The ASA has a number of berths in Dolphin Pool at the AOSC available to members. These berths are leased annually from the RNSA and are constrained by vessel size and draft.

The Berthing Committee meets annually to review berthing arrangements but new rules have been agreed for 2018 -19 onwards.  Instead of annually reallocating berths based on new applications each year berth holders will be able to keep their berth unless they decide to give it up or are asked by the Committee to vacate it for a higher priority vessel.

Applications for a mooring may be made at any time. Members wishing to considered are asked to please complete in full the attached form and return to the Lt Cdr Oli Bowen RNR the berthing secretary at:

The ASA is required pay the RNSA promptly at the start of each New Year so prompt payment by berth holders is requested.  Late payments may incur additional fees and in the event of a non-payment yachts may be removed from the marina and the berth allocation cancelled at the discretion of the AOSC Manager and the Chairman of the Berthing Committee.

All new applications will be allocated a priority and will be held on a waiting list until a berth becomes vacant or the yacht owner requests to be taken off of the waiting list.

If an application for a berth in Dolphin Pool is unsuccessful, applications may be made to the RNSA for a mooring on their estate.
