ARMY SAILING AND CORONAVIRUS LATEST RESTRICTIONS

By November 5, 2020 No Comments

As we enter the latest period of coronavirus restrictions there have been many questions asked surrounding what activity can and cannot take place. For Army sailing across the disciplines, both training and competition, all activity is suspended until at least the end of the current restriction period. This includes the ASA’s main training facilities. The RYA guidance which also covers regional and affiliated clubs is detailed here: https://www.rya.org.uk/…/new-national-restrictions.aspx. The BKSA has issued separate guidance for Kitesurfing.

In summary, where water based activity is allowed privately under the restrictions it is done so ‘off duty’ for serving personnel.
